Wireless LAN With BAT54-Rail Workshop

Wireless data communication is increasingly being deployed in industrial networks: from connections within buildings, plants, and vehicles, right up to manufacturing and stock control logistics. So how secure is such a wireless LAN in practice?

The Hirschmann BAT54-Rail Access Point offers the highest standards of operational safety, communication availability, network security, and data security. To benefit from these features it is imperative to configure the devices correctly.

Workshop for System Engineers, Network Designers, and Network Administrators, as well as for Support Technicians and SOHO users.

Prerequisites
Basic knowledge Ethernet and routing, for example "Industrial Networks II" (CB2) is required.

If available, the participant should bring a laptop with Ethernet and wireless connections, and an operating system CD. Administrator rights are required.

Objectives
During the two-day workshop you will receive general information about wireless LAN applications, and how they can be implemented using the BAT54-Rail as an Access Point, Client, or bridge.

The participants will learn about all deployment possibilities and device variations. They will practice configuring both separate WLAN modules in the BAT54-Rail, to meet the security requirements of the application.
